Consulting is provided for Internet2, a non-profit consortium led by more than 200 United States universities working in partnership with industry and government. The primary goal of Internet2 is to develop and support advanced computer network applications to facilitate teaching and research.
Through community involvement, Internet2 members are using advanced technologies to enable collaboration among people and interactive access to information and resources in ways not possible on today's Internet. This collaborative community traverses disciplinary and institutional boundaries to advance high-performance networking in service of research and education. The arts and humanities, health sciences, and sciences and engineering are just some of the discipline areas where Internet2 community members are opening new frontiers in discovery, research, and collaboration.
Another resource available to instructors and researchers is BOREAS Net. For more information see <http://www.boreas.net/>.
