How do I move my Healthcare Xythos files to Iowa?

On Wednesday, November 4th, 2009, Xythos will become a HawkID 2.0 service (only Iowa Domain logins allowed).  If you have a Heathcare domain Xythos account and have files/folders that you would like to preserve, you need to perform the following steps.  Unfortunately, we do not have any utilities that will allow us to do this for you, so you will be required to do this manually. 

  1. Login to Xythos with your HawkID (make sure the login Domain box says iowa.uiowa.edu).  This will create your new Xythos Iowa Domain account.  Your folder should have nothing in it but a “Public” folder.
  2. Logout of Xythos
  3. Login to Xythos with your HealthcareID and password (make sure the login Domain box says healthcare.uiowa.edu).
  4. Download your files to the local desktop.  
  5. Logout of Xythos
  6. Login to Xythos with your HawkID (again make sure the login Domain box says iowa.uiowa.edu). 
  7. Upload the files you placed on your local desktop back into Xythos
  8. Set any permissions and re-issue any tickets
