Enterprise Technologies

Enterprise Technologies Team provides third tier technical support for the Files@Iowa service, UI PrintSmart, end-user support for System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and assists with the server virtualization project.  Additionally, this team is the default OU Admin for all groups who cannot field their own OU Admin.  Storage growth is one of the most active areas in technology on campus today.  This group must oversee account restores as well as create best-practice documentation.

Services Supported

System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) enables software applications and software updates to be deployed from a single console and in an efficient, cost-effective manner. It also makes it possible for IT administrators to inventory software titles and group machines into collections that can receive special updates.

The Server Virtualization Project enables units on campus to access their data via virtual servers that lower IT costs, reduce power consumption, and provide improved data management.

The Digital Signage Project is for campus units who want to display organizational information on screens in different locations to better inform people in their environment about  facilities, events, and policies.
