Instructional Technology Consulting and Training
ITS Instructional Services provides a variety of consulting and training opportunities for supporting faculty and instructors looking to ensure solid pedagogical incorporation of technology into teaching and learning.
You can find a variety of support and consulting opportunities through the ITS-Learning Technology/Consulting group which offers 1-1 support with the SITA program and leads campus wide initiatives like TILE and the Large Lecture Transformation Project.
Current training offerings may be found on the ITS Training Website. Staff are available for:
- Open-registration training sessions on effective uses of ICON, wikis, lecture capture, web conferencing, and other tools to promote learning. Especially popular are the workshops offered before the fall and spring semesters
- One-on-one consulting in our UCC location, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This support is available on a walk-in or appointment basis to answer questions, help solve problems, and provide other one-on-one assistance.
- Customized departmental training, in partnership with local collegiate instructional support staff. These sessions can be targeted more closely to discipline-specific teaching concerns.
- TILE (Transform, Interact, Learn, Engage) Essentials and Accelerators for faculty looking to development active learning strategies or who are interested in using a TILE classroom. Learn more about TILE.
