Client Testimonials
Betsy Loyd, Rhetoric
"Being a client in the SITA Program was one of the best decisions I've made as an instructor. [SITA] helps instructors to feel comfortable incorporating new technology into their teaching and makes for creative and stimulating student work."
Loyd wanted her students to create audio essays and websites to publish their service learning projects. SITA trained her on GarageBand and Adobe Contribute and provided ongoing support through the semester.
Ellen Cram, Nursing
"This project has been a delight. Everyone on the project team has been helpful, creative, responsive, and work has been done on time with high quality.... For a digital immigrant like myself trying to connect with students who are digital natives, the team has been a tremendous resource."
Cram needed a way for her students to learn to distinguish different pharmaceuticals they may dispense on the job. SITA helped her leverage Drill Designer and Flash to create interactive, digital flash cards accessible via ICON.
Mary Adamek, Music Therapy
"Working with the SITA Program was great. These folks have the most "can do" attitude on campus! I received many levels of support, from project conceptualization to my SITA taking care of the backlog of files, to him teaching me how to take over the project. I continue to receive support [from SITA] when I need it but am on my own now."
Ademek had VHS tapes--lots of VHS tapes--of her and her students' clinical work in music therapy. SITA provided training on organizing digital clips of video from these sessions and on using iMovie to edit and burn the files to DVD.
