Instructional Digital Media Application & Development

Develop interactive digital applications that provide the kind of user involvement and control needed for deeper learning. Past projects include Atlas of Early Printing, Dialects, and Phonetics

Help faculty manage and deliver large amounts of instructional content using applications such as Flash. Depending on the media type, we may collaborate with the Library or ICON teamto find the best delivery solution for instructional collections. Examples projects are UI-SUMIT, Dentistry, and E-Medic.

On approved projects, we develop 3D models and animations using Maya and other 3D tools. Examples: 3D Printing Press, 3D musculoskeletal (??), and Early Eye development

*Interactive application development is often needed to tap into higher order thinking skills. Because of games and the internet, todays students have an expectation of interactivity and learner involvement and control. On approved projects, we develop instructional applications which provide the interactivity learners expect and need in order for deeper learning.

3D technology can provide learners an opportunity to visualize a difficult concept or process. We provide the skills and training for the appropriate use of 3D technology. Utilizing Maya other 3D tools we help to produce digital images and animation. Limited development of 3D models and animation is possible given it is with in an approved project.
