Files@Iowa
Files@Iowa is a service offered by ITS that allows users to save their files to a backed-up location that is accessible from on or off campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are in the process of moving to a new technology that allows us to offer University of Iowa students, faculty and staff more file space. The new allocations are:
| Individual Allocation | 5 GB | Each faculty member, staff member and graduate student will be allocated 5 GB of file space |
|---|---|---|
| Student Allocation | 1 GB | Each undergraduate student will be allocated 1 GB of file space |
| Shared Allocation | 1 GB | Each department will be allocated 1 GB of file space per full-time employee |
Accessing Files@Iowa
These directions will help you access your file on or off the University of Iowa campus. To begin, you'll need to know if your computer is part of the Iowa domain. It's easy to tell: generally, a university-issued computer is part of the Iowa domain, and your own personal computer is not. (How to tell if my computer is part of the Iowa Domain.)
