Additional information to obtain the software

The University of Iowa has renewed our Microsoft agreement and there has been a change that will affect the Power BI licenses.

Most faculty and staff will have access to Power BI Pro at no cost to the departments in the O365 portal. 

  • Sign-in to O365
  • Click the Power BI app tile
  • The Power BI Pro app/tile should show up for most faculty and staff on Office 365.
  • Click the download arrow located in the page banner/header and select “Power BI Desktop”

If departments have students that need access for departmental work, you will need to purchase licenses. Please use the Software Order Form.
