The University already employs many layers of anti-virus and anti-spam protection, but unrelenting electronic attacks and solicitations are requiring us to strengthen our email security practices. To protect against viruses, worms, and other malicious programs spread by e-mail, the University’s Information Technology Services (ITS) department prevents certain file attachments from entering the University’s e-mail system. Blocking file attachments that are most commonly used to spread viruses will help protect University computer systems and data.
