This workshop will introduce participants to the basics of working with R and RStudio. In the first half of the workshop, we will cover the basics of programming in R. In the second half, we will use R to clean, analyze, and visualize data from a real-world example.

No prior knowledge of R or programming is required.

Please ensure you have a working computer. The workshop will be given via Zoom. Video and microphone are not required but may be helpful. Participants may use the chat function in Zoom to ask questions.

We will utilize R and RStudio on the Interactive Data Analytics Service (IDAS) for this workshop. No prior installations of R or RStudio are required, but participants may install and use these tools on their personal computers if they wish.

A few days before the workshop, please watch for an email from Giang Rudderham (giang-rudderham@uiowa.edu) for a Zoom link to the workshop and additional information.

This workshop will be taught by Giang Rudderham, a Data Science Consultant from ITS Research Services.
