ShareStream is like a campus YouTube (TM) that allows users to upload, tag content with metadata, view, browse and play media assets via easy-to-use video and audio streaming software. It went live in January, 2015.
ShareStream has three main components: Pick-n-Play in ICON, MediaManager (in and outside of ICON) and Public Pick-n-Play (for use by Colleges and Org Units).

Update: This problem has been resolved. Please contact the ITS Help Desk if you experience any other problems using this service.
Original Notice: Videos uploaded to ShareStream's Pick-n-Play interface are getting stuck in the "processing" step.
Playback of existing files in ShareStream are not impacted, and instructors can upload media through the MediaManager interface and add videos to their courses in ICON as a workaround.
ITS staff are working with the software vendor to resolve this problem, and we'll update this alert as more information becomes available.
An update to ShareStream will be applied. The service may be intermittently unavailable to end users during the maintenance window.
ShareStream will be upgraded during this time. End users may not be able to use the service for the first 30 minutes of this window but it should be available for the rest of the window.
ShareStream will be offline during the Data Center Operations & Services Maintenance.
ICON (D2L) will be online, but may experience brief connectivity issues. ICON (Canvas) will not be impacted.
Other enterprise instructional technologies (UI Capture, Wiki, etc.) should not be affected.
Maintenance is planned for ShareStream. This service will be available, but with intermediate connectivity and performance throughout the day. We will update this notice as soon as the work is completed.
