When you record a Skype for Business (Lync) Meeting, you capture audio, video, instant messaging (IM), screen sharing, PowerPoint slides, whiteboard, and polling. Any of the presenters can record a meeting and save it on their computers.
Use the Skype for Business Recording Manager to play your recordings, browse to the location you saved them, or publish with selected options for others to view. You can also rename or delete your recordings.
IM Mute in Skype for Business Meetings:
When Scheduling the Meeting:
Open Outlook, and go to your calendar.
On the Home tab ribbon, in the Skype Meeting section, click New Skype Meeting.
Click Meeting Options, and then select "A new meeting space (I control permissions)".
Under "Do you want to limit participation?", check Disable IM
- In the meeting, find the 3 Person avatar in the upper left to open the Participants sidebar
- Towards the bottom of the sidebar, find Participant Actions
- Choose No Meeting IM
