An issue with the Microsoft Office installer was reported today (3/7/2017) to the ITS Help Desk.  The "Install Office 2016" button is missing from the Office 365 home page for Mac users.  This issue is being investigated by ITS.

In the meantime, please follow the instructions below to install Office 2016 on a Mac using the workaround method:

  1. In the upper right corner of Office 365, click the Profile icon 
  2. From the resulting menu, click the View Account link
  3. In the resulting window, click Install Status on the left
  4. Then click the Install desktop applications link to install Office 2016.
