1. Download the U of I OS Install.iso from The Help Desk Software Download website.
  2. Burn the downloaded .iso file to a CD using CD burning software (Roxio, Nero, etc.).
  3. Insert the USB flash drive into a computer running the Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system.
  4. Open a command prompt.
  5. In the command prompt window type  diskpart
  6. Type  list disk
  7. Make note of the drive number representing your USB drive.
  8. Type   select disk <#>   where <#> is the number of the USB drive discovered above.
  9. Type   clean
  10. Type   create partition primary
  11. Type   select partition 1
  12. Type   active
  13. Type    format fs=fat32 quick
  14. Type    assign
  15. Type    list volume
  16. Make note of the drive letter representing your USB drive and the CD or DVD drive.
  17. Type   exit
  18. Close the command prompt window
  19. Open Windows Explorer and copy the entire contents of the CD you burned in step 2 to the USB flash drive.

That’s it!  You now have a bootable Lite Touch USB flash drive!
