Shared Printing Accounts can be used to charge a separate departmental account instead of a user's individual account.  This may be useful when wanting to charge a grant or project to a specific MFK.

To Request an Account:

  • The local ITAdmin creates an AD group and adds the group members needing access to the shared account.
  • Contact the ITS Help Desk to request Shared Printing Account.  You will need to provide the AD group and the MFK for billing. 

Using a Shared Printing Account:

Once the shared account is created, computers needing to print using the shared account must have the PaperCut/ITC Printing client installed on the machines (please see /printing for additional information).

With the client installed, the user will need to log into the PaperCut/ITC Printing client.  When printing a job that needs to be charged to a shared account, select the Charge to a shared account option and use the drop-down arrow to select the appropriate shared account and select Print.
