Windows 10 Upgrade Information

Part of the UUE Project

Welcome to the Windows 10 Upgrade Information Site - Part of the Universal User Experience Project

Below you will find information specific to this part of the project and answers to questions that you may have.  This will include why there is a need to upgrade, what changes will occur, and who to contact if you have more questions.

Windows 10 is the latest version of Microsoft's operating system (OS).  On campus, most computers run a version of Microsoft's OS.  Other examples are Windows 7.

Windows 10 is unique in that there are different revisions of it throughout it's release in 2015.  Our goal is to make sure you are running the latest and most stable release.

This will give you access to new features for you to use on your desktop like Cortana for searching, OneDrive for Business client enhancements, improved Accessibility options, and Paint 3D.

Along with the newest features, your computer will also benefit from the many security enhancements to protect you and campus from malicious activities.

Currently, Windows 10 upgrades are being rolled out as quickly as possible.

Your local IT support staff will schedule a time with your department and then will send out an email to you and your department to inform you when this will occur.
