The ITS Virtualization Team will be updating the VMware vCenter appliance to version 7.0 update 3c, which addresses a critical security issue that is currently mitigated by a workaround.

During this time, the vCenter service (vcenter.iowa.uiowa.edu) will not be available. Virtual servers will continue running and not be impacted by the work, but changes to running VMs or connections to virtual consoles in the VMware environment will not be available. If you have an emergency need to access a VM console or reconfigure a VM during this time, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 384-HELP (384-4357) for them to contact the Virtualization Team in ITS-EI-TPS.
