The shared SQL Server instances IOWASQLHOST1, IOWASQLHOST2, and IOWASQLHOST3 will be migrated to new servers. 

During the maintenance window, databases on these systems will be sporadically unavailable for periods of up to 20 minutes. No application changes are necessary to accommodate this maintenance, however, applications that are sensitive to extended database unavailability may need to be restarted once the migration is complete. We recommend pausing data processing jobs scheduled on these servers during the maintenance and notifying customers expected to use applications connected to the servers at that time. 

This migration is urgent due to recurring connectivity issues on the Windows cluster hosting these instances that have resulted in multiple outages of campus services since April 2022.
