ITS is scheduling network maintenance to upgrade the fiber connections to the network electronics. Each building listed below will experience an network outage including your wired port, wireless and any Skype for Business phones that you may have. This will not affect any analog phone lines that you may have including fire alarm panels, elevators, and area refuge phones. During this 2 hour window the building that I mention below will be down for about 15-20 minutes depending on the number of IT rooms within the building.
Once ITS gets closer to the 8 am time your connections should be without any other disruptions from ITS. If you are still experiencing an outage in your building that has not been restored please reach out to ITS-ITConnect Service Requests its-itconnect@uiowa.edu or call 319 335-2949. After this cutover day, resume all your calls or emails to the ITS help desk for any networking issues that you may be experiencing.
