Microsoft confirmed this issue was caused by update KB5033375. You are more likely to be affected by this issue if you are attempting to connect to an enterprise, education, or public Wi-Fi networks using 802.1x authentication. This issue is not likely to occur on home networks. Microsoft is rolling back the update to personal (unmanaged) devices. It may take up to 24 hours for the updates to uninstall. This update has been blocked from UI managed devices to prevent it from installing.

Network Engineering Services and Enterprise Client Management continue to investigate a Microsoft update that is causing this issue. Users encountering this issue should uninstall the update titled "KB5033375". Instructions are as follows:

  1. From the Windows start menu, search for "Windows Update", then go to "Update history" > "Uninstall updates".
  2. On the list of installed updates, search for and select "KB5033375", click "Uninstall", then restart your computer.

Network Engineering Services is aware of an issue where some wireless devices are unable to connect to eduroam, but can connect to UI-Guest.
