The campus HawkID service is being restructured to meet UI Health Care security requirements, provide consistency of service, and to reduce the resources that are required to roll out new services. This change will not impact most campus users. UI Health Care students and employees will now have two IDs: a HealthCareID for workstation login and health care applications (Epic, Outlook, etc.) and a HawkID for University applications (Employee Self Service, ICON, etc.). For more information, see http://hawkid.uiowa.edu/project/.
You will use your HawkID to login to ITC computers. Healthcare faculty, staff, and students may activate their new HawkID password at https://web.its.uiowa.edu/password/home.page.
ITCs, or Instructional Technology Centers, are computer labs that are designed to provide students with campus-wide access to the University's academic computing resources and encourage departments to integrate computing into their academic programs. ITCs are located in 26 locations on campus, comprising a network of over 1000 workstations available for student use. Wherever you are on the University of Iowa campus, there is an ITC nearby to meet your technology needs!
