Apple TVs are currently located in the Main Library in Learning Commons Group Area D, and Group Rooms 1103 and 1105.

• Apple TVs will only work with AirPlay on Apple devices.
• iMac and all MacBooks newer than mid-2011 with iTunes 10.2 or later will be equipped with AirPlay.
• iPad 2s, iPad Minis, and 5th Generation iPod Touch running iOS 4.3 or later will be equipped with AirPlay.

Operate the Apple TV

1. Press the on button on the black panel located on the lower right corner of the television monitor.
2. Press the Apple TV button on the black control panel.
3. Select AirPlay from the menu bar on your Apple device.
   • For MacBooks, the menu bar is the small white strip across the top of your screen. The AirPlay icon sits near the Wifi menu icon.
   • For iPads and iPods, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to access the Control Center.
4. Select the name of the Apple TV you wish to AirPlay to from the drop-down menu. The name of the Apple TV corresponds to the name of the room it is in. Ex: To connect to the Apple TV in Group Room 1103, connect to the Apple TV named Learning Commons 1103.
5. A 4 digit code will appear on the television monitor.
6. Enter that code into the text box that appears on your computer monitor.
7. Make sure mirroring is turned on.

If an update window appears on the Apple TV, inform the ITS Help Desk. 

Disconnect your Apple device from an AppleTV

Please remember to disconnect your device from the Apple TV before leaving the room.

1. Select AirPlay from the menu bar.
   • For MacBooks, the menu bar is the small white strip across the top of your screen. The AirPlay icon sits near the Wifi menu icon.
   • For iPads and iPods, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to access the Control Center.
2. Select Disconnect AirPlay Display.
