UI Health Care workers and some students use HealthcareIDs to access clinical systems. Their HealthcareIDs are separate from their HawkIDs, though passwords for the two systems automatically sync.

Users who require access to clinical or hospital systems with patient data will be assigned HealthcareIDs in addition to their HawkIDs. They'll retain their HealthcareIDs as long as they’re associated with UI Hospitals and Clinics and or the Carver College of Medicine.
