What is the "R" drive (College of Medicine Network Storage for Research) and how can I get access to a folder or directory on it?

The R drive is network storage space for researchers in the Carver College of Medicine (CCOM).  The R drive is managed by Health Care Information Services.  Read more about the Research Data Storage (R:Drive) (Carver College of Medicine Site).
