How often will I need to change my HawkID and/or HealthcareID password?

How often you need to change your HawkID or HealthcareID password may depend on your college or department and your access privileges.

In general: 

  • HawkID passwords must be changed at least once every 365 days
  • HealthcareID passwords must be changed at least once every 365 days
  • Individual colleges or departments may require more restrictive password rules

Elevated privilege accounts—such as users with administrative rights on their workstations—may require more frequent password changes.

As of late 2019, HawkID and HealthcareID passwords are synced. Changing your password in one system will automatically change your password in the other.
