100 Days of Accessibility: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for ALT Text Generation

Student Instructional Technology Assistants Charlotte McManus and Jimmy Farrelly will show us how AI tools can help digital authors and editors generate ALT text for their online images. They will discuss their recent experience with generative AI and share surprising successes and important lessons learned.

This session is presented jointly by Accessibility@IOWA and the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology as part of 100 Days of Accessibility. 100 Days of Accessibility offers a long window of opportunity for technology providers to reflect on ways to make their digital tools more accessible for all.
