Administrative Information Systems (AIS) provides information technology solutions and services that enhance the operations of The University of Iowa business, collegiate, academic, and service units. The broad range of AIS services includes enterprise applications, databases, identity, and data analytics solutions. 

The enterprise applications encompass a diverse set of university functions such as academic and financial student records, admissions, financial aid, learning management, central business office functions, human resources, payroll, personnel services, research administration, faculty administration, workflow, and communications. Our application portfolio includes internally developed, vendor-supplied, and cloud applications.

Our enterprise database support includes Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases, and we provide database hosting, management, administration, modeling, warehousing, and consulting services.

We develop and support mission-critical identity and access management (IAM) services including authentication, authorization, service provisioning, electronic door access, ID card operations, and emergency notification systems

We provide a broad set of data analytics solutions including reporting, business intelligence, and predictive analytics.  We also support the university data warehouse and campus data portal.

ITS-AIS also has project and change management expertise and provides technical consulting resources for explorations, projects, integrations, and RFP evaluations.
