Nature of the work: Upgrade the F5 chassis systems

Data Center(s): Lindquist Center (LC) and Information Technology Facility (ITF)

The F5 chassis systems host all F5 GTM/DNS and LTM systems in the following way:

ITF chassis 1 (ITF primary LTM, ITF GTM/DNS)

ITF chassis 2 (ITF secondary LTM)

LC chassis 1 (LC primary LTM, LC GTM/DNS)

Each chassis will be upgraded, one at time, resulting in the GTM/DNS and LTM systems hosted on the chassis being unavailable for a period of time.

The LTM systems are redundant and services will be moved between the primary and secondary systems as needed. The GTM/DNS systems are redundant and provide the same data. No more than one GTM/DNS and one LTM system will be unavailable at any time.

Expected impact on services: None

Expected duration: 2 hours in LC; 2 hours in ITF 

Time: 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM

Nature of the work: Upgrade NetApp clusters

Data Center(s): Lindquist Center (LC) and Information Technology Facility (ITF)

Expected impact on services: Each volume will experience two brief (10-30 seconds) pauses in IO

Time: 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM
