We will be upgrading the HR System to the latest version supplied by the vendor.  Employee Self Service (including the Performance Review Tool), Jobs@Uiowa, Compliance and Qualifications, Time & Attendance, and the HR System will be unavailable during this time.  Messages will be posted to each of these applications.  Universal Workflow and OTAC should not be impacted.

There will be a scheduled firmware upgrade on the campus data switch in the Dental Science and Chemistry Buildings. During this maintenance window, network services will be temporarily disrupted. 

We recommend saving your work and logging off any critical systems prior to the start of the maintenance period. Services will be restored as soon as the upgrade is successfully completed.

NES will be performing an emergency upgrade of the wired network equipment that is the backend for the West Campus wireless service.

During the upgrade the campus wireless service on the west side of the Iowa River will be unavailable.

This maintenance is necessary to address a software issue that is  impacting the wireless service.

Please be advised that we will be performing a scheduled firmware upgrade on the data switches at DPS.
During this maintenance window, network services will be temporarily disrupted. The expected downtime is approximately 15 to 60 minutes while the upgrade is in progress.

ITS will apply security updates to the Oracle servers. Each instance on the server will be down for approximately 60 minutes per host.

During the maintenance window, Top Hat may be unavailable and visitors will see a maintenance page. Any educator who has made an assignment due during or shortly after the maintenance window should consider changing the due date/time so that students have adequate time to complete them.

Please be advised that we will be performing a hardware replacement on the network switch. Users in the North Base area will experience a brief network interruption of approximately 5 minutes during the swap.
