[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Campus Data Network Connectivity
As part of the Campus Network Refresh Projects, we will be performing scheduled network maintenance on Tuesday, October 21 at 10:00 PM. During this time, our direct customer connection to South Slope users and one of our commodity internet connections will be migrated to a new router.
No impact to end-users is expected, and all systems should remain fully operational throughout the process.
[Closed] Service Degradation - Multiple Services - UI Telephony to Verizon Wireless Lines With Iowa City Prefix
Unified Communications has received a number of reports of University provided telephony lines unable to reach Verizon Wireless lines that specifically contain Iowa City prefixes (319-XXX-1234). The Unified Communications team is continuing to monitor and investigate the issue.
[Closed] Service Degradation - Large Scale Storage (LSS)
ITS Research Services is investigating issues with lc-rs-store32.hpc.uiowa.edu and lc-rs-store34.hpc.uiowa.edu being unavailable. All other LSS systems are working normally.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - MatLab
ITS will be updating the following license server to support MATLAB Release 2025b: matlab-lm.iowa.uiowa.edu.

Linux software mirrors will be down for maintenance during this period.

[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Clickers
Top Hat and Aktiv will be temporarily unavailable.
The need for this proactive maintenance is to apply a critical security update to a core component of the Top Hat infrastructure. This component is widely used across the software industry, and Top Hat will be applying this update in response to a notification from their cloud provider, AWS.
Top Hat is scheduling this maintenance at a time that minimizes impact to faculty or students. Unfortunately, the urgent nature of this maintenance requires Top Hat to complete it prior to our normal maintenance window. No action is required on your

During the maintenance window, access to Mastering and Learning Catalytics will be unavailable. Users of all other Pearson courseware may experience brief interruptions such as being signed out, access issues, or delays loading content or assessments. Pearson recommends avoiding any critical activity during this time.
