Generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools can support work and learning by helping users explore ideas, generate content, analyze information, and solve problems more efficiently.

This introductory training will help participants understand what generative AI is, how it works, and where it is being used across teaching, research, and administrative work in higher education. The session emphasizes responsible use and institutional considerations to support informed decision‑making when using AI tools in daily work.

This session is intended for University of Iowa faculty and staff who are interested in learning about generative AI. No prior AI experience is required.
