AI User Group: AI, Data, and Decision-Making in Athletics

AI User Group is a welcoming space for people across the University who are curious about artificial intelligence, from first-time attendees to those already using AI in their work. Because the field changes quickly, these sessions create a simple way to learn from colleagues, hear how AI is being used in real settings, and ask questions in a low-pressure environment.

This month’s session will feature Etsey, Eddie T, Associate Athletics Director, Technology & Data Analytics and Women’s Tennis Administrator. Eddie will lead a conversation on AI, data, analytics, and decision-making in Athletics, followed by time for questions and discussion. This session offers a chance to hear how AI-related questions show up in a part of campus where data and decision-making often move side by side. Even for those outside Athletics, the conversation should be useful for thinking about how AI and analytics can support practical work in settings where timing, context, and judgment matter.
