CIO Office Business and Administration
The CIO Office supports the business and administrative functions of Information Technology Services (ITS) and helps advance the CIO’s broader university leadership responsibilities.
Employees in and affiliated with the CIO Office provide leadership and coordination in:
- Budgeting, accounting, procurement, contracting, financial planning, resource stewardship, and support of strategic priorities for ITS.
- Partnerships and collaboration across OneIT, including close coordination with distributed IT teams in colleges and administrative units.
- Strategic communication that keeps ITS priorities, organizational changes, and campus technology initiatives clear and connected to university goals.
- Human resources support that helps ITS align staffing, employee relations, workforce practices, and organizational needs with university HR expertise.
CIO Office staff support the CIO broadly across all areas of responsibility, including strengthening OneIT partnerships so central and distributed IT teams can advance shared goals and deliver coordinated technology services across the university.
The ITS communications and human resources teams report to their respective central university units while maintaining secondary reporting relationships to the CIO. This structure keeps these important functions closely connected to ITS priorities while aligning with broader university practices and expertise.
Tim Evans is executive director of the CIO Office.
