Clickers
What is a student response system (clicker)?
Student Response Systems are also referred to as clickers, audience response systems, or personal response systems. Student response systems can make your classes more interactive, facilitate class discussions, guide lectures, encourage peer instruction, and allow for immediate student feedback. Instructors ask questions via a software platform, and students respond using their personal devices. The instructor can display the results collected, so the class can see a visual representation of all student responses to the question. Instructors can choose to generate feedback that is anonymous or student responses can be connected to the ICON Gradebook.
Support articles, how-tos, frequently asked questions, and more are available at the Office of Teaching, Learning and Technology's Top Hat webpage.
