Outdoor and drive-up wireless service lets students, faculty, and staff access high-speed internet without entering campus buildings.

University of Iowa Outdoor WiFi Locations

The eduroam service reaches many outdoor areas of campus. To access campus wireless service, connect to the eduroam network and log in by entering HawkID@uiowa.edu and your HawkID password.

You can find enhanced outdoor WiFi at these locations:

  • East Pentacrest lawn
  • West Pentacrest lawn
  • Hubbard Park
  • Iowa Memorial Union terrace
  • Daum Hall entrance area
  • Between Burge Hall and Currier Hall (Clinton and Davenport streets)
  • T. Anne Cleary Walkway (Market Street to west Burge Hall entrance)
  • Lawn south of Boyd Law Building

University of Iowa Drive-up WiFi Locations 

In addition to outdoor WiFi sites listed above, drive-up wireless service is available at parking lots across campus. To access these networks, connect to the eduroam network and log in by entering HawkID@uiowa.edu and your HawkID password.

  • No parking permit required for WiFi use.
  • Please stay in or near your vehicle
  • If parked at a meter or in a cashiered facility, parking charges will apply.

  • The wireless access point is indicated by the blue dot on the map below and can be accessed within a 250-foot radius. Coverage is best at the south end of the lot and may not be as strong close to Hancher.
