All University of Iowa students, faculty, and staff are assigned HawkIDs for access to online services. HawkIDs generally reflect elements of your first, middle, and last names and are created when you're admitted or appointed to the university.
Guests, collaborators, contractors, and other external users who need access to UI systems may also be invited to create a HawkID.
Your HawkID acts as your unique username. It remains with you indefinitely.
When using your HawkID and HawkID password to log into online services, you may have to use two different formats: HawkID or HawkID@uiowa.edu
Look Up Your HawkID
- If you aren't sure of your HawkID, you can look it up using the HawkID Look Up Tool.
- If you've forgotten your HawkID password is, you can reset it using the Forgot HawkID Password Tool.
For additional HawkID information and support, visit the HawkID Tools page or contact the ITS Help Desk.
UI HealthcareID
UI Health Care workers and some students will use a second ID, a HealthcareID, to access clinical systems.
Find more information about the HealthcareID in the HealthcareID Solution Center or by calling 319-356-0001.
