I would like to post an attachment to the list and then send a message to the subscribers telling them to access the archives to read the attachment. One way to accomplish this is to:

  • Ask the List Owner to set "Topics = FILE-ATTACHED"
  • Send the attachment in a message with the subject of "FILE-ATTACHED". Since no one is (by default) subscribed to this Topic, no one will receive it and a copy will be available in the archives. Send a second note pointing to the current archive.

Be aware that any messages sent with a subject of "FILE-ATTACHED" will not be sent by this list.
