When setting up the OneDrive client, two settings are highly recommended:
- Known Folder Moves is a setting that syncs local files from the Desktop, Documents and Pictures folders. This will keep you from losing anything stored on a local computer.
- Files On-Demand saves disk space on your local computer by downloading files as you need them.
To setup these options, right click on the blue cloud in the lower right hand corner and select "Settings".
- To setup Known Folder Moves, select the Backup tab and Manage Desktop.
- To setup Files On-Demand, select the Settings tab and click on the box that says "Save space and download files as you need them".
