eduroam users who have connected their device to UI-Guest in the past may see their device automatically connect to UI-Guest instead of eduroam.  In those cases, you will need to manually reconfigure your device to prefer eduroam and/or remove the UI-Guest profile.

  1. While joined to UI-Guest, launch the Settings app.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap the blue arrow to the right of UI-Guest.
  4. Switch the Auto-Join tab to OFF.
  1. Open Wi-Fi Settings
  2. Click and hold on the open network
  3. Click Forget Network*

*Your device may be installed with an application that scans for wireless networks and attempts to connect. These could interfere with your capability to turn off the automatic connect function. You may need to disable these settings.

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Click All Control Panel Items
  3. Open Network and Sharing Center
  4. Click Manage Wireless Networks
  5. Right-click UI-Guest
  6. Click Properties, then Connection tab
  7. Uncheck "Connect automatically when this network is in range" 
  1. Open Settings by searching for it in the search bar
  2. Select Network & Internet
  3. Select Wi-Fi
  4. Click Change Adapter Opens under Related Settings
  5. Double click on UI-Guest
  6. Click Properties
  7. Uncheck "Connect automatically when this network is in range"
