The following are the most probable causes of no sound from the PC or DVD player

 

No sound from the PC

  1. If using windows media player, eject disc and insert again. Wait a few seconds for the pop up window. Select VLC player which is a code free player.
  2. Select the PC source button and make sure it is projecting.
  3. Switch sources. Select DVD and wait a few seconds and then switch back to PC.
  4. Make sure the volume is not muted on the touch screen or the extron push panel.
  5. Double click on the speaker icon in the lower right of the computer monitor, click on mixer and make sure all sliders are all the way up and nothing is muted.
  6. Turn the sound all the way up and then back down.
  7. Restart the computer. Log out and push and hold the power button until the computer shuts downs, restart.
  8. Restart the system. Shut the system down and restart.

No sound from the DVD player.

  1. Select the DVD source button and make sure it is projecting.
  2. Make sure the volume is not muted on the touch screen or the extron push panel.
  3. Switch sources. Select PC and wait a few seconds and then switch back to DVD.
  4. Turn the sound all the way up and then back down.
  5. Restart the system. Shut the system down and restart.
