How to remove the TikTok app from Windows and iOS devices

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds issued a directive to ban TikTok on all state-owned devices. If you have a device provided by the University of Iowa and have installed the TikTok app, please follow these instructions on how to remove it to be in compliance with the new directive.

Windows 10

  1. Right Click on Start Icon (Microsoft Icon) -> Apps and Features
  2. Search for TikTok
  3. Click on ...
  4. Select Uninstall

Windows 11

  1. Right Click on Start Icon (Microsoft Icon) -> Installed Apps
  2. Search for TikTok
  3. Click on ...
  4. Select Uninstall

iOS/iPadOS

  1. find TikTok app
  2. click and hold on TikTok
  3. Once the menu pops up select remove app
  4. Select Delete App

Note:  At this time macOS does NOT have a TikTok application
