Most services, including ICON, are now available. Amazon has indicated that the AWS outage has been resolved. We will continue to monitor services throughout the evening. Any issues should be reported through normal Help Desk channels.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has started to recover and we are seeing improvements with some of our UI services that have been impacted.  Services such as ICON continue to be unavailable at this time.  As AWS recovers it may take some time before all services are fully restored.

We will continue to monitor the status and provide updates as warranted.  We will send an all clear message to campus when the majority of services (including ICON) are available.

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) issues continue to persist and affect cloud computing services worldwide, including many used by the University of Iowa. While Amazon has not provided an estimated time for restoration, indications are that the outage could extend throughout the business day.

The OneIT Major Incident Response Team and IT professionals are monitoring the issue closely and will continue to provide updates as developments unfold. We understand how disruptive IT outages are and appreciate your support and patience as we await resolution.

ITS will send an all clear message to campus once all services are restored.
