The current estimate for the disk repairs is approximately a week, but this is subject to change. We will continue to monitor the progress of the repairs and will provide an update if there are any significant changes to the timeline.

The disk repairs from last week completed over the weekend. However, there are additional disks that need to be repaired on both systems. These repairs are necessary to maintain health of the storage pool. We are working on getting these repairs started and we will provide an update on time estimates later today. Users may continue to experience slowness or issues accessing their shares.

ITS Research Services has identified faulty disks being repaired as the underlying issues with itf-rs-store18 and itf-rs-store24. Until the disks complete their repairs users may continue to experience slowness or issues accessing their shares. The current estimate for the disk repairs is approximately 48 hours, but this is subject to change. We will continue to monitor the progress of the repairs and will update if there are any changes to the timeline before the holiday weekend.

ITS Research Services is aware that users are having issues access itf-rs-store18.hpc.uiowa.edu and itf-rs-store24.hpc.uiowa.edu and is working to resolve these issues.
