We are seeing evidence of the backlog catching up and new emails being sent without much delay. If you are still missing an email, please contact us with details (to, from, subject, expected date and time) so we can try and trace the email for you.
We are continuing to work with the ITS Email team and our hosting provider to resolve this issue.
We recommend site owners monitor their web forms while this issue is active. Other emails from SiteNow websites are affected as well, so we suggest site owners reach out to those recipients directly until this issue is resolved.
The backlog of queued emails starting from Wednesday, May 5 are being processed through to Office365 (uiowa.edu) recipients, though not necessarily in a first in, first out order.
We believe our hosting provider's email server recovery from May 6th has created a bottleneck of queued emails set to be delivered to Office365 (uiowa.edu) recipients. It is our understanding that they will eventually be delivered.
The hosting provider for University of Iowa SiteNow sites is experiencing a temporary service interruption. Emails that are normally sent through web forms or other SiteNow methods are not working at this time.
ITS Support Staff are working with the provider on a resolution.
