The legacy Bright on-call operator page will be decommissioned on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 9:00 AM. After that cutover, the Bright link will redirect to the Splunk On-Call dashboard. Please update any on-call related bookmarks that currently point to Bright.
This change is intended to provide a clearer and more consistent way to identify the correct on-call contact. Going forward, please use one of the supported sources below:
- Splunk On-Call dashboard in Grafana, which is the recommended method
- Daily on-call escalation email sent to ITS-OnCall-Notification@iowa.uiowa.edu, or
- Splunk On-Call directly
The primary Splunk On-Call dashboard is available to everyone with an IT classification. Access to individual contact details, such as phone numbers, must be explicitly requested.
We strongly recommend verifying before the cutover that you have the connectivity and access you need for your job role.
If you encounter any issues, require access to contact detail dashboards, or would like to be added to the ITS-OnCall-Notification@iowa.uiowa.edu distribution list, please create an ITS System Monitoring & Alerting Question or Request ticket in Halo so the TPS-Data & Monitoring team can assist.
