ITS has implemented a fix for the issues we were experiencing with some web sites not resolving. Initial reports show that the fix has resolved the issues we were seeing. There may still be some propagation issues with some Internet Service Providers (ISPs) - those should resolve on their own soon.
ITS has identified the issue and are working to implement a fix for the issues we are experiencing with a limited number of web sites not resolving. We estimate an hour to get the fix push out (around 4:00 pm). These types of changes must propagate out through various Internet Service Providers (ISPs) such as Mediacom, Verizon, etc. so some issue may continue as ISPs update their cache.
We are receiving reports that https://redcap.icts.uiowa.edu/redcap/ will not load using some networks.
*Workaround: Connect to Cisco AnyConnect VPN (on a personal device) or Global Protect VPN (on a university device). IOWA VPN Information can be found here: https://its.uiowa.edu/services/virtual-private-network-vpn.
We are currently working to resolve the issue.
