[Closed] Outage - Campus Safety Phone Service
Due to a phone service interruption, Campus Safety is unable to receive phone calls to its non-emergency line, 319-335-5022.
Please continue to use 911 for all emergency calls. All non-emergency calls should temporarily be directed to 319-335-1990.
This interruption is currently impacting elevator phones, area of rescue phones, and all other lines that ring into Campus Safety. 911 is not impacted.
University Skype for Business and Teams telephony phone systems are not impacted by this outage.
An update will be provided when service has been restored.

Instructors Using LockDown Browser Must Take Action in Every Course
Due to a system update, instructors using LockDown Browser in their Spring 26 course sites are required to complete a brief action in ICON. You will need to reauthorize LockDown Browser by clicking the LockDown Browser navigation link to reconnect your course.
If this step is not completed, students trying to take a LockDown Browser enabled quiz might see this message “Invalid Profile https://uiowa.instructure.com— There is a problem with the URL for this exam. See this article for more information.” and are not able to
[Closed] Outage - Campus Data Network Connectivity, Growing Words CR Lab
We are currently experiencing an internet service outage due to an issue with our provider, ImOn, affecting our Cedar Rapids location.
As a result, access to certain systems, including UI data services for Growing Words Lab, may be unavailable or intermittent at this time. We are actively monitoring the situation and working with the provider to get updates.
We will keep you informed as more information becomes available and once service is restored.

Please be advised that wl-10.switch and c-5.switch will undergo an emergency preventative maintenance reboot.
During this time, the switches will be temporarily unavailable, and any connected devices or services may experience a brief disruption in network connectivity.
Expected Downtime: 10-20 minutes while the reboot is in progress.

[Closed] Service Degradation - ICON Direct - Cengage/McGraw Hill/Macmillan Grade Sync Issues
There is a Canvas/ICON issue that may require re-authorization of connections between Canvas/ICON and publisher courseware for Cengage, McGraw Hill, and Macmillan.
Instructors should take the following steps to reconnect their materials to their Canvas/ICON course sites and resync their gradebooks.
Cengage's MindTap:
Instructors may receive a prompt asking them to authorize Cengage. This is will allow Cengage to resume syncing data with their course.
McGraw Hill's Connect and SIMnet:
Launch the McGraw Hill tool in Canvas/ICON from the affected course.
Re-authorize the integration when prompted.

Some Turnitin Similarity Reports Delayed in ICON
Turnitin Support is currently looking into why some Turnitin similarity reports may not have completed processing.
ICON assignment submissions made using Plagiarism Framework may display a status indicating that the similarity check is still in progress. In some cases, selecting “Resubmit for plagiarism review” does not resolve the issue, and attempting to open the report may result in the message:
“This file is still being processed by the plagiarism detection tool associated with the assignment. Please check back later to see the score.”

ITS Research Services is troubleshooting reported failed logins for users who were migrated to the new Argon Homes server. We are working with the vendor to resolve these issues.
