[Closed] Service Announcement - eduroam - Annual Campus Eduroam Certificate Renewal
ITS will be renewing the SSL/TLS Certificate for the campus eduroam authentication servers.This certificate is used to verify the authenticity of the campus eduroam authentication servers and needs to be renewed periodically to maintain the security of the eduroam service.

[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Multiple Services, Buildings
Network Engineering Services will be upgrading the campus wired infrastructure. During this upgrade, wired and wireless connectivity will be down.

ITS will be working on maintenance on the parking website during this time. During this upgrade, https://parking.uiowa.edu will be down.
[Closed] Service Degradation - Multiple Services
The Unified Communications team have been alerted to cases of Teams VoIP telephony calls failing to Skype for Business telephony. We have partnered with HCIS Voice Engineers who have identified the problem and are working on a solution.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Linux Software Mirrors
Linux software mirrors will be down for maintenance during this period.
Planned Maintenance - Interactive Data Analytics Service (IDAS)
IDAS research and class instances will be unavailable during maintenance. Class users should download their data from IDAS before maintenance using the steps in this article. Research users should back up their data on an appropriate data storage service as usual.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Telephone and Voice Services - Analog Gateways
HCIS staff will be performing planned analog gateway maintenance on all analog gateways serving the University of Iowa. Each gateway will be migrated individually, with an expected downtime of approximately 5 minutes per gateway. These cutovers will occur sequentially on Monday December 22nd between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, resulting in temporary dial tone interruptions during this window.
What to Expect: During the migration, dial tone service will be temporarily unavailable for the following systems:
- Elevator phones
- Fire alarm panels
- Area of Refuge communication systems
- Classroom phones
[Closed] Service Degradation - High Performance Computing
ITS Research Services is aware that /nfsscratch is currently not available on Argon. We are working to restore access. Due to /nfsscratch not being available, users may have issues submitting/running jobs or notice other performance related issues.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Multiple Services
TPS Systems and Storage will upgrade the firmware on the LC and ITF datacenter NetApp Network Storage System (RDSS, ADSS, UDSS, CLAS, HOME, VMware). The upgrade is non-disruptive and is expected to last no longer than 6 hours.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - FileMaker Hosting and Administration
The central FileMaker servers will be unavailable due to a scheduled upgrade to version 22. Users will be unable to connect to FileMaker applications during this upgrade.
Due to new minimum client requirements associated with this upgrade, ITS is requiring all end users to upgrade their client to version 21 or later before December 21st, 2025. End users who do not have at least version 21.0.1 will be unable to connect to FileMaker Server 22.
