Some users have reported issues with the eduroam wireless connection. While connected to eduroam, users may be unable to load web pages or encounter error messages such as "DNS address cannot be found." ITS is currently investigating the issue.

Linux software mirrors will be down for maintenance during this period.

Skype for Business is currently seeing some issues with calls not getting routed correctly. ITS/HCIS is looking into the issue.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Clickers
Top Hat has scheduled maintenance on the first Sunday of every month, from 4:00 AM CT to 7:00 AM CT.
During the maintenance window, Top Hat will be unavailable and visitors to app.tophat.com will see a maintenance page.

Users may experience issues connecting to Eduroam on the east side of campus. IT support staff are investigating.

The v1 Digital Signage platform at https://signage.uiowa.edu and https://signage.uihealthcare.org will be shutting down on October 31st, 2025. The v2 Digital Signage platform is available at https://signage.sites.uiowa.edu. View our support article for additional information.

Microsoft is experiencing some issues with Office 365 services. We are aware of some impact to campus and are continuing to monitor. We'll share more information as it becomes available.
[Closed] Service Degradation - Large Scale Storage (LSS)
ITS Research Services is currently troubleshooting lc-rs-storage20.hpc.uiowa.edu. The system was not responding and has been restarted. It is currently undergoing system checks before shares will be available again. We do not have a time frame for how long these checks will take to complete.
[Closed] Service Degradation - Microsoft Skype for Business
Skype for Business users are getting a continuous prompt to log in. ITS/HCIS has opened a ticket with Microsoft to look into this issue.
