The Innovations in Teaching with Technology Awards (ITTA) provides funding for innovative, results-oriented instructional technology projects that raise the level of teaching and learning at Iowa and have the potential to impact student success and retention.

Each year, the Academic Technology Advisory Council (ATAC) sponsors the program and has awarded over $1.8 million to instructors since 2001.

A total of $100,000 is available for awards. Applications can be made to support the costs of hardware, software, and personnel. We seek projects that employ collaborative learning strategies and student use of emerging technologies for teaching and learning.

If you are interested in applying, please review the proposal guidelines. We encourage you to email the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology at its-otlt@uiowa.edu with questions.

If you've been experimenting with innovative teaching approaches that involve technology, we encourage you to submit your proposal by Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology in advance at 319-384-2166 or its-otlt@uiowa.edu.
