In this session, T.M. Weissenberger will demonstrate a variety of tool and techniques for checking the accessibility of websites, applications, and other digital technologies. Attendees will learn about selecting the right tool for the job, performing high-level accessibility testing, and evaluating the results. T.M. will also outline some basic practices for manual and user testing that anyone can integrate into their accessibility strategy.

The Live from 2523 series offers microlearning opportunities on a variety of practical accessibility topics. Bring your own device or sign in to one of 16 university-supported workstations for a hands-on accessibility experience. If you can’t make it to UCC, join the session on Zoom at 11 a.m. on Feb. 9.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact T.
