Discover small ways instructors can incorporate inclusive teaching techniques in the first five minutes of class at any point in the semester—even tomorrow. Strategies demonstrated will include connecting course material to relevant real-world examples, calling students by their preferred names and pronouns to affirm their identity in the classroom, and learning names that are difficult to pronounce.

Led by Mary Aldugom, Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, Graduate Teaching Fellow

Completion of this workshop will be applied as one workshop toward the Cultivating Excellence in Teaching Credential offered through the Office of Teaching, Learning & Technology Center for Teaching.
